Explicit Consent for Health Data

1. Which health data?

• Your water records.
• Your step, distance and calorie data (from your phone or, if you give permission, from Health Connect).
• Your sleep durations and stages.
• Fasting timers that you start yourself.
• Optional profile details: gender, year of birth, height, weight, activity level.

2. For what purpose?

We process this data only to store your records in your account, to sync them between your devices and to calculate game points such as XP, levels, badges, streaks, quests and leagues.

Your data is not used for advertising, marketing or profiling, is not sold and is not processed for any other purpose. Data stored on the server is kept on servers in Germany (Hostinger); details are in the Privacy Notice and the Privacy Policy.

3. How do you give your consent?

You give your consent by reading the Privacy Notice and ticking the checkbox when you register or sign in for the first time. The version of the text and the time of acceptance are recorded. If the text is updated, you are asked to consent again for the new version.

You do not have to give consent. If you do not give it or if you withdraw it, Huppi keeps working with the records on this phone; however, your data is not synced to your account and you do not take part in friends and league features.

4. How do you withdraw your consent?

You can withdraw your consent at any time: Profile > Settings > Data and privacy > Withdraw my consent.

When you withdraw: syncing stops, you no longer appear in league and friend lists and you receive no notifications. Your records on the server are not deleted automatically; the app keeps working with the records on this phone. If you want your records deleted, you can delete your account (Delete Account). You can give your consent again at any time.

Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before you withdrew.

5. Cycle data kept on your device (separate consent)

Cycle tracking is entirely optional and is turned on with a separate, explicit approval. Your cycle data is stored only on your phone, encrypted; it is not sent to the server and does not appear to your friends, in the league or on share cards. You can withdraw your approval at any time and keep your data on your device or delete it. The optional Health Connect import/export also depends on a separate permission. Optional partner sharing is the only exception to this (see section 7).

6. Partner tracking

Partner tracking is only for users aged 18 and over and must only be used with your partner's knowledge. The information you enter is stored only on this device, encrypted; it is not sent to the server and is not written to or read from Health Connect.

7. Optional partner sharing (end-to-end encrypted coarse status)

This feature is optional and off by default. It is only for users aged 18 and over and is turned on with a separate approval in the app, apart from the consents above.

If you turn it on, only a coarse status is shared with the one person you choose: the approximate number of days until the estimated window and the general phase. No other cycle information (symptoms, notes, entries, dates) is shared.

The status is encrypted on your device; the Huppi server cannot read the content. The server stores only the encrypted data, the fact that a connection exists and the time of the update. The notification sent to the other person is neutral and contains no health information.

You can stop sharing at any moment with one tap, and the encrypted data on the server is deleted immediately. The connection also ends and the encrypted data is deleted when you request account deletion or your account is suspended; you can also choose to disconnect when you sign out.
